AirplanesEven though early planes were often used for military goals, they're now considered lovable and nostalgic. I guess it is a mixture of awe for the courage of the early aviators combined with the endearing aspects of early planes. Multi- winged, held together by wires, loud engines, the whir of wood propellers. Most of all the legendary fearless, noble and chivalrous attitude of early pilots, such as Captain Rickenbacker and the infamous Red Baron, Manfred Von Richthofen.
