Limited Availability. Contact us for more information.
Carmiel Sandro Botticelli is recognized as a master of the Italian Renaissance. Living in Florence around 1500, he was closely associated with the Medici for whom he executed numerous works. Admired in his own time for his craftsmanship, he specialized in classical and religious subjects that were customary for contemporary artists. Because of his graceful, elegant figures and beautiful ornamental detail, Botticelli was selected to paint scenes on the walls of the Sistine Chapel.
Taking details from some of his works, AM has turned these into flamboyant yet mystical images. Removed from context, these works aquire an intriguing beauty and mystery all there own. Several placed together create a large wall sized panel of faces gazing out from various angles.
Hand painted on canvas, and streched on a wood frame.
