Our Mercator Terrestrial Globe is reproduced from the drawings of Gerardus Mercator, the inventor of the Mercator projection. It is made up of twelve paper gores hand applied to the globe, just like the originals of that time.
Classic globes without a matching compass were considered incomplete. Our globe is wonderfully constructed with a bronze and wood stand and a true reproduction of 17th C. “dry” compass.
Measures 8.3 inches tall and 5.7 inches wide.
