Balance toys were originally called skyhooks, simple counter-weighted toys which could be set on a shelf or the rim of a table, and set in motion to everyone’s delight and amazement.

The design is based on an antique renaissance candle stand. It is hand wrought in iron, distressed, and hand waxed.
